SmartOps Multistage Inventory Planning & Optimization (MIPO(TM)) Solution Earns SAP NetWeaver(TM) Certification

SmartOps Multistage Inventory Planning & Optimization (MIPO(TM)) Solution Earns SAP NetWeaver(TM) Certification

PITTSBURGH, March 11 /PRNewswire/ -- SmartOps Corporation, the leading provider of enterprise-class supply chain optimization solutions, announced today that SmartOps Multistage Inventory Planning & Optimization (MIPO(TM)) software has been certified for integration with the SAP NetWeaver(TM) platform, earning the Certified for NetWeaver designation.

Certification is awarded to products that feature integration with the SAP NetWeaver platform and is particularly important for SAP customers that desire simpler integration of complementary solutions within their overall IT environment. MIPO version 4, a J2EE application, has been certified for deployment on the SAP(R) Web Application Server Release 6.40 component of SAP NetWeaver.

"SmartOps is dedicated to helping customers manage their supply chains more effectively and cost-efficiently," says Dr. Sridhar Tayur, CEO and founder of SmartOps. "SAP NetWeaver certification enhances our ability to deliver that value and reinforces our commitment to reducing our customers' total cost of deploying, integrating and maintaining solutions. This certification delivers on all counts and empowers customers to leverage current and future investments in both SAP solutions and SmartOps MIPO."

MIPO enables customers to achieve both a rapid return on investment and a long-term competitive advantage by determining the best possible inventory and product availability plans given inherent uncertainties, time-varying data, multi-location and inventory stage complexities, and aggressive customer service goals. MIPO dynamically generates optimal inventory targets for each stage of the supply chain while providing visibility into each inventory requirement -- including safety, cycle, pre-build, pipeline and merchandising stock requirements, by item or stock-keeping unit (SKU) -- to meet desired service levels. MIPO's optimized inventory targets serve as critical inputs for enterprise resource planning and advanced planning & scheduling systems, so they deliver better intelligence for inventory planning and execution.
